Are you worried about the most recent HVCC requirements? Oh yes, I sure am.

 I knew that my business would suffer from the recent changes and decided to look in to doing appraisals primarily based on estate work and AMC work to stay in business.

If you have not signed up for AMC work or do not have substantial estate appraisal work to keep you busy, you will be one unempleyed appraiser by the end of 2010.

 It is a sad fact that the HVCC passed or not will have a direct influence on your business.  I had over 50 clients in San Diego county that were sending me a steady flow of appraisal requests.  Unfortunately that ll changed at the beginning of 2008.

After a few months, so much work was coming in from California that I decided to move back to cover that area and see what cheap real estate I might be able to purchase in the near future.

 Now is the time to sign up with AMCs. If you delay, you will be out of business within the next year.

That is the hard facts.  The days of 'I don't want to work for AMCs' are over.  Now is the time to take control and demand your fees to get the AMCs to realize we will not work for free.
